DR ELVIS OJAIMI

Dr Ojaimi has an interest in innovative retinal surgical instrumentation and enjoys teaching medical students from Monash and Melbourne medical schools. He has been practicing privately for over a decade.

Dr Elvis Ojaimi completed his undergraduate medical degree at Melbourne University and then completed his general ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital. He underwent extensive subspecialist retinal training in Australia and overseasHis area of surgical expertise, includes complex cataract surgery and vitreoretinal surgical procedures, including macular holes, epiretinal membranes and vitreomacular traction syndrome. Dr Ojaimi has been in private practice since 2010.

Cataract surgery

Cataract surgery is a procedure to remove a cloudy lens from the eye and replace it with an artificial lens, improving vision clarity and quality.

Macular hole surgery, vitreomacular traction syndrome

Age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, vein occlusions

Epiretinal membrane (macular pucker)

An epiretinal membrane is a thin, translucent layer of tissue that forms on the surface of the retina, potentially causing visual distortion and blurriness.

Retinal tears and retinal detachment
